Killa B ain't at fault?

TMZ has reported that Brandy was not at fault in the last year x-mas car crash.

A CHP source tells TMZ the woman who died in the car accident involving Brandy actually struck the vehicle in front of her before Brandy made any contact. The law enforcement source says Awatef Aboudihaj, the woman who died, struck the car in front of her -- which was going 65 mph, and then slammed on her brakes. We're told the sudden stop caused Brandy to hit the dead woman's car.

L.A. County Coroner spokesperson Captain Ed Winter tells TMZ that toxicology reports show Aboudihaj had "slight traces" of marijuana in her system at the time of the crash.

If this is true why did it take a full year to come out? As for Killa B career it's a rap!!

Jigga "Steps Down" from position at Def Jam!!!!

After months of speculation, Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z announced on December 24 that he
will officially vacate his position as President of Def Jam Records at the end of his term.
The 39-year-old rapper issued a statement today (December 24) stating he will step down as president in 2008.
“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have served as President of such a culturally-defining label as Def Jam over the last three years,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “During that time, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many of the world’s most dynamic artists and many of the most dedicated and talented executives in the music business today, including Antonio “L.A.” Reid. But now it’s time for me to take on new challenges.”
Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, took over as President of Def Jam in 2005.
Under his guidance, the rapper signed his former rival Nas to Def Jam and oversaw the release of hit records by Kanye West, Rihanna and Ne-Yo.
The announcement serves to cap off a very turbulent year that saw Def Jam artist like LL Cool J protested that Jay as an artist and executive presented a unique conflict of interest. Additionally, number of traditionally successful Hip-Hop acts like The Roots, Redman and Method Man failed to get traction under his reign.
Island Def Jam Music Group Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid said that Jay-Z felt it was time to take on “different challenges in his life.”
“While we regret his decision to move on, we certainly respect it,” Reid
said in a statement. “Since Jay joined us as President of Def Jam in 2005, we have all benefited from his leadership, sense of spirit and invaluable friendship. While he will continue to be one of our signature artists, he will nonetheless be missed in this executive capacity. The entire Island Def Jam family joins me in wishing him the very best in all of his future business endeavors.”
Jay-Z will continue running and recording for his Roc-A-Fella imprint, which is distributed by the Island Def Jam Music Group. The mogul is rumored to be making a transition to the urban division of Sony Records with Rick Rubin.
“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to build upon the Def Jam legacy, helping to move the company into a new era of artistic success,”

"LL and Jimmy said they just recorded a song together for LL’s album, called “The 5 Borough’s is Back,” along with Lil Kim, KRS-One, and Method Man. Nice! LL said he felt that his last 3 albums were not up to par, which Im sure most agree with. But he said that for his final Def Jam album, its importantly for him to live up to the standard of his catalog. Now, of course these are promises that we’ve heard before (from every artist whose been blessed to have a long enough career where falling off is even an option). But LL definitely seems passionate about the whole thing (probably fueled by feelings of indignation, lol).
Anyways, LL also said that he’s really happy too about his release, because he negotiated to take back all of his masters (minus a 10% cut to Def Jam). Which, with a 20+ year catalog, is HUGE. Owning “Radio” and “I Need Love” and “I’m Bad”? Better than a dozen Bentleys."

If the above is true than that would be a good look for all...I highly doubt it will have an I Shot Ya feel. KRS One, Method Man, Lil Kim and Jim Jones don't really equate to Foxy Brown, Prodigy, Fat Joe and Keith Murray in my opinion. It will be interesting to hear though, hopefully Kim and KRS put it down.

Vick sentenced to 23 months...

It was a bad day for former NFL star Michael Vick as he was sentenced to 23 months in prison, for his part in ilegal dogfighting.

Animal rights protesters lined up outside the courthouse. Some carried signs with photographs of dogs, while others read "Dogs deserve justice," and "Report dog fighters."

"You need to apologize also to the millions of young people who look up to you," U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson retorted.

After initially denying any involvement, Vick acknowledged participating in killing the dogs in his plea agreement with prosecutors.
